Ariadne convinces Sito to tell everyone about his dreams.  Casey examines him, under Aden's orders, and discovers that the Ebene are essentially opening portals inside of his head and trying to use his dreams to gather information about the Phoenix Fighters.  Until further notice, Sito must stay awake at all costs.

 

Chaos breaks out in the House when one of Casey's brand new alarms goes off.  A baby is discovered to have been left on the front step.  Adriana adopts the baby, naming him Stephen and quickly growing attached to him, despite Aden's warnings not to, as he plans on delivering the child into safe hands across the border.  A second alarm brings happier news in the form of an old associate of the Guardians, Amorette.  She is brought in with open arms and when they explain the Ebene situation to her, she happily joins the Phoenix Fighters.

 

Casey scans Stephen.  She is unable to identify what he is, but says there's something familiar about his sequences.  Meanwhile, Adriana and Tranns get into a screaming match over Tranns and Lucien's kiss, which Philip told Adriana about while he was evil.  Tranns firmly denies ever kissing back and but the wounded Adriana, lusting after Lucien, refuses to believe it and the fight continues, almost resorting to blows before Krysta breaks them up.  When Adriana insults Tranns by bringing up the fact that she was abandoned by her mother, Tranns hits her and storms out, being followed by Lucien.  In the basement, Lucien tries to reason with Tranns, but she refuses to calm down.  When Lucien grabs hold of her arms to stop her from continually hitting the punching bag,the two of them kiss and end up sleeping together.

 

Sic, Krysta, and Ariadne try to keep Sito awake, but he's fading fast.  Just as Adriana comes down into the lobby with Stephen, Sito passes out.  Much to everyone's horror, Stephen suddenly leaps out of Adriana's arms and begins to transform into a hulking mass of muscle.  Casey and Jonas race to the scene, Casey having discovered that Stephen is actually an Ebene shapeshifter.  Only too late.  Stephen begins attacking the group.  Joined by Tranns and Mia, they manage to defeat the agent and release Sito from the spell.  After the fray, Tranns and Adriana reconcile.  Everyone counts the ordeal as a victory, as they're better informed about a new breed of Ebene, but Adriana is crushed by the loss of Stephan.
