Philip expresses some unhappiness about Ariadne's night patrols, but she replies that she refuses to give up her work.
Meanwhile, Tranns and Lucien argue about their unique standing in the House. Lucien is ready to start and open relationship
with her, but Tranns is reluctant. In the kitchen, Jonas tries to teach Casey how to socialize. The entire House
seems calm when Adriana walks into her room and discovers a ghost named Warren who no one else can see, sitting there, making
lewd commentaries. The two of them talk and Warren explains that he's been in the House for over fifty years.
Adriana is the first person to see him in all that time.
Mia, Casey, and Tranns are in the lobby when there's a crash from upstairs. Ariadne plummets down from the fifth
floor balcony. She's pronounced dead on impact, her neck snapped. Aden takes on the responsibility of telling
everyone else including Philip who becomes angry and violent. While everyone sits around the lobby thinking about Ariadne,
Tranns and Philip find themselves in Ariadne's room, equally dazed. Tranns speaks to Philip in riddles and then passes
out after reciting an Andorian verse.
Downstairs, Krysta sees Jesse nearly drown. When Casey, Jonas, and Mia rush to the rescue, they discover that Jesse
was possessed by a creature that nearly killed him. He's lost his voice again. Philip brings Tranns down to the
pool and Casey discovers that she too is possessed. Aden has her locked in the basement, but at the exact same time,
Valero becomes possessed and tries to kill Mia. It's determined that there must be two entities floating around, possessing
the fighters.
While tending to Jesse, Adriana encounters Warren once more. Claiming to be an expert on possession, he casually
tells her that the cause of Valero's possession was a disgruntled ghost. He further adds that he hasn't seen Ariadne's
spirit wandering around the House and assumes that she's not dead. In the kitchen, Casey observes that Ariadne's body
isn't showing any sign of decay.
Locked in the cage in the basement, Tranns demands to speak with Philip alone. Once they're alone, she reveals
some very intimate facts about him. Philip realizes that it's Ariadne who's possessing Tranns. He lets her out
of the cage and together they track down the spirit to Jesse's room where it's taken over Valero. The spirit explains
that he was killed by an Ebene portal. He holds a grudge against the Phoenix Fighters for not being able to save him.
Ariadne uses Tranns' body to drive the spirit out, and under Warren's instructions, Adriana contains him in a vessel called
an ash box.
From Warren, Adriana learns how to return Ariadne's spirit to her body, which has been patched up in the kitchen.
Philip reluctantly performs the ritual, restoring Ariadne to her own body and releasing Tranns from the possession.
Adriana thanks Warren for all his help, but he is blase about the ordeal. Having been dead for over seven thousand years,
he tells her he's seen it all. Adriana decides it's to her advantage to exploit his knowledge as much as possible.
