The Price

Sito and Adriana return to a changed Phoenix House.  Rufio's been thrown out by Philip, Jesse and Ariadne have recovered from their injuries, and Mia is ready to resume the Spell of Three.  In addition, Krysta has recovered her powers.  The peace doesn't last long for Adriana however.  Several ghosts, Jemina, Caleb, and Anthony, along with Warren and Conan, all being paying visitation to her.  Jemina, Caleb, and Anthony come begging Adriana to kill a psychopathic Draconian warrior named Cecilia who's been on a killing spree in Shaldani.

Adriana is reluctant at first, but when Valero races in to inform her that Cecilia has landed on the roof, she decides to agree.  Together with Valero and Sito, Adriana fights Cecilia.  The fight ends in a draw after the tide is turned by Adriana's roller skates and Cecilia retreats with a promise to return.

Tranns and Lucien publically admit to their secret love affair, much to the horror of everyone in the House.  Meanwhile, a stranger named Rinault appears, claiming to be Amorette's brother.  Everyone is skeptical, but he is allowed to stay in the House and begins to attract the attention of Trista.  Sito sets out on his own for Sybok, in hopes of confessing his growing attraction for Kit.

Warren instructs Adriana next to break into Sito's room in the middle of the night.  There she discovers a painting that Warren has painted for her while possessing Sito's body.  She hangs it on the wall.  As a third ghostly request, while Warren and Conan bicker, Anthony asks Adriana to convey a message of love to his son who turns out to be Jonas.

Secretly, Adriana confesses to Tranns about her newfound ability to speak with ghosts.  Together, they realize that this is the mysterious "price" that Tranns and Lucien were warned about when they went on their quest to find Casey's white crystal.  Although at first doubting the significance of such a "price," Adriana quickly learns how valuable it can be when Warren informs her that Aden has been using dark magic.  She confronts him about it and Aden promises to stop, beginning the painful process of withdrawal, although hiding it from Mia who has just moved in with him.
